My Favourite Creations

 
REVEILLE
 

 30 ml each- Tequila blanco, Bacardi white rum and Sambuca.
10 ml lemon juice.
60 ml coconut cream.
4-5 ice cubes
one pitted and sliced black olive.

 Put all ingredients less the olive into a blender and whizz for 15 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass. Place a slice of black olive in the centre of the drink or skewer several slices separately and serve.

RIM ZIM

 

 
Inspired by the popular spicy cola of the 1980s, this simple-to-prepare alcoholic version is bound to evoke nostalgia, or least- start the New Year on a spicy note. Tchin-Tchin!

60 ml Dark Rum
90 ml Cola
60 ml Ginger Ale
Roasted and ground cumin seeds

 

 Pour the cola and ginger ale in a Brandy Balloon. Warm the rum in a heat proof dish,f

lambé and pour into the glass. Sprinkle roasted and ground cinnamon seeds on top before serving.

Bartenders Tip: If you would like the drink warmer, heat the assembled drink in a microwave for 30 seconds. Don't worry- the fizz would not go off by the warming!

 

 JOIE DE VIVRE

30 ml Orange Vodka
15 ml Tequila
30 ml Orange juice 
10 ml Lemon Juice
10 ml Monin Vanille Syrup (if not handy, Simple Sugar Syrup can be used).
3 slices of Fresh Orange
Ice cubes
Soda


 

In a Single Rocks glass, muddle the orange slices with the lemon juice & Monin Vanille Syrup/ Sugar Syrup. Put 3 ice cubes and pour in the vodka, tequila & orange juice. Stir and add a splash of soda. Lightly stir and garnish with an orange peel before serving.

 MON AMOUR



45 ml Strawberry   Vodka
10 ml    Grenadine (Pomegranate Syrup)                                          
20 ml  Cream (Fresh or Tetrapak)

A strawberry for garnishing
 
 Put 4-5 ice cubes in a cocktail shaker and pour in the Strawberry Vodka (if not handy, use plain vodka) Grenadine and  cream. Shake vigorously till the shaker is frosted and pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Add a splash of Sprite and serve garnished with a strawberry on the rim.

60 ml White Rum

10 ml lemon juice

10 ml sugar syrup

12-15 mint leaves

5 slices of fresh orange peeled, deseeded & skinned.

A dash of Galliano

Crushed ice

Soda to top

 

In a Collins  glass, put the mint leaves, lemon juice & sugar syrup. Muddle these with a muddler & put crushed ice atop followed by the white rum. Put orange slices on top and add a dash of Galliano (skip if you don’t have it). Top up with soda (around 60 ml). Serve with a stirrer and not a straw (due to pulpy nature of ingredients). Salute to the vibrant Indian Republic!

60 ml  Black Vodka

15 ml Creme de Cassis (Black Currant Liqueur)

10 ml Lemon Juice

 

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker half filled with ice and strain into a chilled Martini glass.
Garnish with a skewered Black Grape & a cube of Cheddar Cheese.

CANED MANGO

To say capital punishment is prohibited- would be an overstatement
This mango for one, likes being caned for your enjoyment.

45 ml Cachaca

15 ml Mango Juice

10 ml Lemon Juice

4-5 Mint Leaves & Mango Cubes

Muddle 2cubes of mango & 4 mint leaves along with lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Half fill the cocktail shaker with ice & pour the Cachaca & Mango Juice. Shake vigorously until the shaker is frosted.Pour into a  chilled Martini glass and garnish
with skewered mango cube & mint sprig.

30 ml Benedictine



 

Mix Campari & Lemon Juice in a chilled Martini glass. Mix Brandy & Benedictine in a heat-proof dish & warm over flame. Ignite & pour in a flame in the Martini glass.Welcome the winter with  warmth!
