An After Dinner Whisky Tasting
A session that showcased different genres of world whiskies, it was a delightful one that I conducted at Hotel Le Meridien New Delhi on two accounts- one- the audience came from many different nationalities and two- it was an after dinner session paired with custom made chocolates that served as an excellent nightcap for the busy corporate honchos. Guillaume Blanchard, Export Manager South East Asia for Castello Banfi- the famed Tuscan wine producer- arrived in New Delhi to conduct an exclusive  wine dinner  under the aegis of La Cave- the best known wine store of New Delhi. Czech Wines Tasting in New Delhi
For the second  year in a row, winemakers from the Czech Republic showcased their choicest wines in New Delhi in April 2016. Top sommelier from the country, Aleš Pokorný  presented the wines in a captivating manner, replete with humour, knowledge and of course, a guided tasting. the images above depict the soirée that was. Winesome India Wine Dinner
Conducted by me on 26th Aug 15, Winesome India celebrated Indian wines in an "awesome-winsome" way. Award winning wines from  Grover Zampa Vineyards- one of India's oldest wine producers, coupled with lip smacking cuisine by chef Chiquita Gulati  (who has incidentally been awarded as a Top Chef for Indian cuisine just a couple of days after our dinner) proved that Indian wine and food too are vrai amis if given due attention. 7th Indian Sommelier Championship
Conducted in New Delhi in November 2014, 7th Indian Sommelier Championship saw India's best sommeliers slug out in a nail biting finale where Atul Tiwari from hotel Leela Palace New Delhi, Karanbir Singh Gulati from ITC Welcomhotel, New Delhi and Harish Achrekar from Four Seasons hotel Mumbai bagged the first three positions respectively.  Sharing some images of the event below:

at New Delhi on 09 and 10 May 14  received a roaring response  from trade and consumers alike. Portuguese Wines come calling 

Portuguese wine parade in early May 13 at New Delhi made wine fans pause and take notice. Held at the residence ofPortuguese Ambassador to India H.E. Jorge Roza de Oliveira, the wine tasting gave an up, close and personal feel of the diversity of these wines that goes much beyond the well known Port.The images below capture the essence of the evening.

Recently there was an exclusive tasting event conducted at Hotel Taj Mahal, New Delhi by a group of producers collectively called Sake Samurai. The Promise of Bulgarian Wines
  The onset of Spring in New Delhi saw some refreshing as well as steely wines from Bulgaria- one of the most versatile wine producing countries from Eastern Europe that also has centuries old  history of winemaking. French Language, Culture...and ....Wine
  Bastille Day- is the French national day celebrated on 14 July. It is on this day that the Palace of Versailles was stormed by revolutionaries to liberate the French people from the autocratic rule of King Louis X111. The occasion was befitting to conduct a session on French Wines appreciation at Le Frehindi- a premier centre for French Language and culture founded and managed by Prof Haru Mehra- who also happens to be my French language Guru.
