Strawberry Pancakes

Strawberry Pancakes

300 gms plain flour
1 1/2 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp soda bicarb
1/2 tsp salt
20 gms castor sugar
2 eggs
500 ml milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
Strawberry crush

Preparation

Whisk all  ingredients together to make a smooth batter. Heat a flat griddle or a non stick pan. Place  two tablespoons of batter onto the hot pan for each pancake. When bubbles appear on the surface of the little pancakes, flip them over to make them golden brown on both sides. Serve with chopped strawberries and drizzle with strawberry crush.

Special Tip

The pancakes can also be made with the following toppings:
  • Chopped bananas with honey and powdered cinnamon.
  • Maple syrup and butter.
  • Orange sauce.
